The difficulty options change how much control you have over the shotgun. The shotgun is a 2 handed weapon, and it's really cool to use as you have to reload the shots, and you put the bullets in manually. When you toss the Duck Season cartridge in the console the game goes into the shooting gallery where you can attack the dog, and the ducks. To watch videos or play the games you throw them at the casette player/NES-esque console. The 1st is you in the living room where you can watch VHS tapes, activate the minigames (which are all played on the living room TV), see what your mother is doing in the background, read the magazines, and interact with objects in the environment. The VHS tapes you can watch were a mix of funny, weird, and at one point very scary.

The horror was definitely the best part, as it showed great atmosphere. One thing I didn't like was the minigames. I really enjoyed Duck Season, and will be going for the other endings :) I was constantly looking around worried there was going to be something spooky behind me. When the game goes into its horror elements it really scared me. I completed the game today (got the "canon ending") and I really liked it. its nothing special but you dont need this mini games to enjoy the game at all. you would be like "wouldnt it be sweet if the games worked" well. they are not a selling point and are simply there. i have had days of fun playing this and i havent even touched the mini games other than right at the beginning. So dont listen to /u/FaresM he obviously didnt give this game a true chance. The shooting the shotgun is only about 5% of this game the rest is a giant mystery that will keep you coming back trying to solve it. its a way to progress the time of day to get you to the house in a different hour of the day. The duck hunting in this game is a decent VR representation of what duck hunt would be like. There are currently 7 unsolved mysteries or mechanics that we know about we just dont know what to do with them. or teleporting yourself with the Ouija board. each with their own mystery to solve and hints scattered all over the place from invisible writing on the wall to finding the book of the dead. you will be rewarded for exploring the environment. the intermissions are a chance for you to explore the environment. he completely missed the point of this game.
